Jennifer's Story
Life
i did and still do go by jenni, rather than jennifer. from 3rd grade till 12th grade i spent part of each year in alaska and part in texas. i graduated high school in edinburg, tx in 1994, but i always liked valdez best. because texas is lame. ;)
i live in seattle now with my husband scot, his son, and several critters. i escape the city as frequently as i am able, still being a country girl at heart, and travel as much as my pocketbook allows. i work hither and thither, or not - also as my pocketbook allows. i recently purchased a horse (a five-year-old Percheron mare) so currently most of my spare time is spent down at the pasture repairing fences, shoveling poop and - when i'm lucky - riding.
interests that have been mostly eclipsed by the new horse include: motorcycles, sidecars, old trucks (especially my '73 international harvester wagonmaster), camping, painting, reading, gardening, cooking and remodeling our ho...Expand for more
use one square foot at a time. i started building a shed in our yard a few years ago and have yet to finish. it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. it is now referred to as "the addition". maybe i should just connect it to the house with a hallway and call it good.
plans for the near future include: moving to the country where we have a little more elbow room, visiting ireland (because everyone else in the world already has), learning to weld.
School
i attended about a dozen different grade schools in texas and alaska. in alaska i was "that girl from texas". and in texas i was "that girl from alaska". i always had pet lizards and sometimes i brought them to school with me. in junior high i cut my hair really really short, trying for one of those hip asymmetrical 80's hairstyles but discovered too late that i don't know anything about hair and spent the next three years or so being mistaken for a boy. man, i hated school.
