jennifer's Story
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Nathaniel Oviatt, because he was a big part of my heart and I still catch myself thinking about him on a regular basis. I remember the easy friendship we developed almost immediately, and how secure i felt when with him. There were nights that I couldn't sleep due to some unrecognized discomfort in my mind and/or unrest in my relationship with my family. y I have not known an equal since. His friendship was, even remains, one of the greatest gifts of my not so humble existance. I moved to Eugene just as the '89 schoolyear was about to begin and didn't see or talk to him for months while I survived and he attended classes at the high school. When I finally came home in March I got to see him long enough to find out he had met an older lady whom made hime deliriously happy, make plans to meet at the end of that weekend so we could catch one another up on our solo experiences, and then hug with "TTFN"s as we went our seperate ways. My next memory is my sister waking me the next morning with the news that he had been involved in an accident during the night and not survived. He was my first soulmate and that is where he still resides with that cheesy grin of his lighting up his face just as his memories light up the space in my heart that no one else will ever fill.
