Jennifer Rae's Story
Life
Let's face it...the only people who read these things are either 1.) people who are nosy; and/or 2.) all of your exes! The facts of where I've been/what I've done might seem rather mundane, but when experienced have been a lavish web of memories! I have travelled to nearly all European countries on multiple occasions, as well as most of the states, Canada, and Mexico. Travelling is more of a challenge with a child, but my daughter has been jet-setting since she was 12 weeks old, and is every bit the seasoned traveler! I enjoy reading, writing, scrapbooking, Ebaying (!), ASL (American Sign Language--have been studying it casually for 14 years), and many other cultural endeavors. My 20s were spent working, studying, dancing, and dating....ah, the drama of it all. My 30s were filled with more domestic adventures. Being a mother is by-far the HARDEST job I've EVER done! My daughter is such a beautiful, unique little urchin....I just love her to bits! Time goes by too quickly...the days are long, but the years are short!

om the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Workplace
After finishing my BSW from UW-Eau Claire in 1990, I worked as a Residential Supervisor in a variety of facilities for people with Developmental Disabilities. I went back to school in 1993, and in 1997 obtained an additional Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I worked for some time with medically-fragile children in their homes (sort of like a mini PICU). In 1998 I began working with people with severe and persistent mental illness, through People, Incorporated, in St. Paul, MN. I was the Director of Nursing of People Inc.'s Home Health Agency until my daughter was born in 2002, and then spent the next nearly three years as a stay-at-home mom. In the autumn of 2004 I resumed my Director of Nursing duties, and stayed with People Incorporated until March of 2007. I now work with Cigna Behavioral Health as a Crisis/Triage Care Manager, and just love it! My degrees in Social Work and Nursing are both extremely helpful in what I do! My goal is to obtain my Master's Degree in Nursing in order to beome a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health.
