Jennifer's Story

I always had a guy friend in every part of life. I think others around me thought that just wasn't the "girl thing" to do but it was always easier for me to relate the things guys liked than girls! Besides no matter what i said or did, it made my girlfriends mad (just drama)....Guys didn't care! They laughed at everything I said even though it mostly dumb. I had a true appreciation for fast and cool cars then and most of the time my "guy friends" Let me drive their cars before i got mine! What girl friend would do that? Anyway, I drove those cool cars up and down Baily Hill Rd playing "lets race" with other drivers that would take me up on it. I was lucky I never got caught or got tickets! HA! As my memory fades, so does the recall of the wild and fun times I had in school so i have to rely on rekindled friends' stories to remind me if there was anything else stupid I ever did. While growing up, Deep down inside I always wanted to be a cowgirl and be a rodeo queen. But my family knew nothing about either and didn't think twice at telling me they couldn't afford it, even though I grew up in a big fancy house on the hill. I just wanted to live in the country so I could have a horse. It turns out I lived out that dream through my daughters and their horses! Ha! Go figure! Today, My youngest daughter who is a Sophomore at Elmira High School has one horse she competes on, trains horses for others and is earning another young horse from a friend who raises AQHA world qualified cow horses! She is an amazing rider and watching her at work is a great way for me to decompress when life is stressf...Expand for more
ul. While being her cheerleader doesn't actually get me up on a horse anymore, she fulfills every dream I missed out as a kid! My career has evolve quite a bit over years. I received great opportunities and got to experience many things. I just wanted to play a lot and did whatever came my way. *Deli Clerk for Winco *Bred, Raised and Trained state champion barrel horses and ponies. *Pack and Tour guide for Black Butte Ranch * Worked at Hoo Doo Ski Lodge, I was the first to make espressos before they exploded into coffee drive ups! * Worked in house keeping at Sun Valley resort in Idaho. *Ran the credit office for Weisfields Jewellers in Seattle Wa *Worked as a security guard for big events especially for the U of O! *Court reporter for State of Oregon Workers Compensation Dept. *Drove Truck in 11 western states. *Instructional aide K-12 Disabled children for Lane Education Service District. *Vocational Trainer and Case Coordinator for developmentally disabled adults at Pearl Buck Center. *Program Manager of vocational services for adults with developmental disabilities. *Residential Manager of a group home of 5 men with diverse behaviors for OSLP * Independent Contractor-a professional advocate and community inclusion specialist for persons who are "differently-abled" thru Full Access Brokerage. As you can see I never stayed with any one thing for too long, but as long as I am having fun and others around me sincerely appreciate what I have to offer, then its all good and I can function day to day! I know I have been successful when my clients beg for me to come back for more!!
