Jennifer McMillan:  

Life Got my B.S. in '97 (U of I - MetEng) and went to work for LTV Steel in East Chicago, IN. In July of '98, married Scott McMillan, who I met at my on-campus job in college. In December 2001, LTV went under, so I got to be on "vacation" for a few months. Worked as a QC Engineer at Smalley Steel Ring Company in Lake Zurich, IL from 3/02-6/03. Scott got his PhD in ChemEng at Northwestern in June '03, and got a job with Intel in Hillsboro, OR (near Portland). While there, we bought our first house and got a dog - a Harrier we named Abby. Oregon turned out to be not quite as good as we'd hoped, but fortunately Scott got a transfer to a small Intel office in Chanpaign, IL. We bought a house in our old stomping grounds of Urbana in November 2004, and have been busy putting down roots ever since. I joined Alloy Engineering & Casting in September 2005 filling dual roles as both the Quality Manager and the Plant Metallurgist. So far, so good with both of our Champaign jobs.
