Jeremy's Story

Life well hello there... wuts new with me, nothing, same ol same ol.. since graduating i have been in the navy, ill be working on 10 yrs in the navy and currently at my 4th command in the navy.. but other than that, my life has been goood, just recently i am a father to a new baby girl born dec 21st, 2005... School to keep this rolling i am a 1996 graduate of good ol Marble Falls High School. spent almost 6 yrs there, good times.. before i came to marble falls, as u can tell from profile, been to quite few places. while i was at marble falls, i played football, baseball, ran track, even was in the band. i played football 5 out of the 6 yrs i was there, my sophmore yr, i went over to the band, cuz i beleived my grades werent good enough to keep playing football. bu thanx to the coaches they coaxed me back to play my junior yr. played baseball for my senior yr. and also raan track track my junior and senior yr. i wasnt an all star at track but i did bring home couple 1st place medals. i ran the 110 high hurdle, and competed in the shot put and discus. other than that i was pretty quiet, well sometimes. didnt really make a name for myself, just that average guy went to school, did wut he had to do, and went home. fun times. Military and a lil more about me, well right after graduating Marble Falls High School, i joined the navy to see the opportunity to see places, travel the world. so i pretty much have done all that. went to Boot camp in Great Lakes Illinois in march 1997. then soon after all the goods training they give you, i reported to my 1st duty station in Sasebo, Japan, aboard the Uss Fort McHenry (LSD-43...Expand for more
), spent 2 two yrs on this ship, while i was stationed i went to places like australia, guam, singapore, thailand, malaysia, brunei, hong kong, korea, okinawa, yokosuka japan. then time was up to transfer and got orders to my 2nd duty station USS Abraham Lincoln(CVN-72) in everett, washington, but before i had to go to a C-School in Lakehurst, new jersey for couple months. report soon after. while i was on the Lincoln, i visited places like, canada, hawaii, that was pretty much it. i was forced to transfer becuz the department i worked in found out i was color blind and so my LPO, soon found me other duties of interest and so i picked going to the SEABEE side. went to an A-School in gulfport mississippi for couple of months of training then reported to the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, stationed in Port Hueneme, Ca. i served 5 years in 5. i was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2005. other places of interest i have been while assigned to NMCB 5, Sicily, Kuwait, Okinawa, Spain, and that would be rpetty much of that. and then as soon as i get back from deployment from Iraq, i transfered to Key West, Florida. from 2006 to 2008 i spent my days down in key west florida in CBMU 202. then from there i transfered in dec 2008, got orders that would take me to NMCB 11 out of gulfport, ms. i attended the Builder Advanced class jan 09 to apr 09, sandwiched in between before i head on over to NMCB11. i have enjoyed my career so far, i re-enlisted march 2005 for another 6 yrs. i have 12+ yrs of service already. so time will tell how things will turn out, so i will do my best to keep you all updated on the latest and greatest.
