Jerome's Story
Life
I stayed at Lawrence Hall during my teens. Mr. Davis, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Little, and more were our watchers during that time. We had a camp out somewhere in Michigan, where Mr. Little played jazz which I like to this day.
Somehow, I got stuck with the nickname "Tooty, the Turtle". Hated it. I was never part of the "in" crowd, and tended to stay indoors a great deal. I got there about 1965.
I miss that big building I grew up in. It's a shame it had to go. The only thing I recognize now is t...Expand for more
he gym and pool area and general grounds.
Needless to say, I don't go over there much.
I once tried to get at least a picture or two from them, but the youth there looked at me like I had three heads for even asking such a dumb question.
There is very little of the past on their web site, nothing showing the building in it's entirety.
I have tried to find Father John, who used to reside there and run the Chapel. In These paranoid days, seeking information is a hard thing, about any individual.
