Jerry's Story
Life
I married my wife, Cheryl, in our senior year in college. We taught school in W. Va. for one year and then moved to Akron, Ohio where I ended up working for Woolworth's. I was transferred to Springfield, Ohio in 1971. In the ensuing years I have been in retail management with the F.W. Woolworth co., taught school, managed two restaurants, been self employed, and then went back to school getting a BA in Religion at Wright State U. and an MDIV from United Theological Seminary. n Ross County, Ohio, where I serve three churches: Brown's Chapel UMC, Dry Run UMC, and Clarksburg UMC. I have two grown daughters: Jaime Lynn who is the pastor at Sardinia UMC in Sardinia, Ohio. She has two children: Kyle 21, and Lily Grace 12. My youngest daughter,Jessica is the Regional Controller for Adcare, a firm that owns and manages health care facilities and nursing homes. Her husband, Kris, works for Gordon Foods in Springfield, Ohio. They have three sons: Dalton 12, Dawson born on October 22, 2007, and Hudson who is 4 months.
