Jessamyn's Story
I've been living in Chicago since 1993, when I moved here from Lexington KY to get a masters in Theatre (which I didn't finish). I went to law school instead, and graduated in 1998. I started out at a law firm, but have been in house counsel with a title insurance company since 2001 (the pay's not nearly so good, the hours are much, much better).
Also in 1998, I met my husband Geoff on the internet (except of course he wasn't my husband yet). He is from Halifax, Nova Scotia - in 1999, he moved to Chicago to attend a masters/doctoral program at Northwestern, which he just completed in June 2008. In the ...Expand for more
meantime, we moved in together in 2000, got engaged in 2001, got married in 2002. I got pregnant in 2003, and we had our first child in March 2004 (Katie). We just had our second child on Memorial Day 2008 (Annabel). They're both awesome.
We live on the north side of Chicago in a condo that's part of a building from the early 1920's. I'm currently not getting much sleep (due to baby Annabel). I take a lot of photos. We're pretty darn happy.
