Jessica's Story

Life Hey people, apparently you gave a sh*t enough to read this, so here goes: I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and freelance artist living and working in Rochester NY. I've got a wonderful fiance named Tony who treats me like a princess and is very supportive and romantic. We have 10 cats: Sharmutah, Zoe, Farley, Loki, Sabrina, Peanut, Inky, Pinky, Poo and Kismet. I also foster abandoned cats from time to time. I couldn't be happier with the way my life is working out, although it would help if I made more money at what I do (I am sure it's the same for everyone)! As far as my art goes, I haven't shown anything in a gallery since 1998, but I still work on pieces from time to time, whenever I have the urge. No kids yet...we're waiting for a little while. The plan is to get married in Vegas during the Adult Video News Awards first. :-) That's pretty much it- so if anyone wants to get together for a beer, send an email. It'd be nice to see some of you people again. School I hated high school. HATED it. Some people say they loved it; it was the best time of their life, etc., etc. Not for me. Although I made lasting friendships in high school (I am still in close contact with Ivy Meres and Greg Rohrs), for me, high school was crap. The best time for me was at Potsdam. I made tons of friends and still am in contact with many of them today. I joined Sigma Alpha Iota and met one of my best friends while pledging. I played in a symphony orchestra for two years. I hung out with Prometheus, the greatest frat on campus, and got to be around cute boys 95% of the time. :-) I partied my ass off and laughed harder than I ever have almost all of the time. I miss Potsdam. I wish I could go back and relive that time. I loved Bel-Rea, met my other best friend while going to school there, but I was pretty unhappy being in Colorado away from my family and most of my friends. So, I stick by Potsdam. The time we stole Phi Mu Alpha's sheep (or, more appropriately, my SISTERS stole their sheep, and I got kidnapped and held for ransom for it, even though I had no idea of the plot in the first place). Or the time my girlfriends and I had a slumber party in my dorm room and tortured Dimitri and Greg two doors down from us. Or, better yet, the first week in the freshman dorm when I met some people I am still extremely close ...Expand for more
to today. My friend Foster was a kleptomaniac for a week, just to try it out. My friend Karen only ate blueberry muffins, and we called her Mango. And Allyson kept a diary of our years together in a sort of crude comic book form. So I toast Potsdam, because my richest memories come from those three years I spent there. How I wish I could go back. College College. A place where people get as far away from their folks as humanly possible. And was it wonderful! I met so many new and interesting people, and everyone was so much more accepting than in high school...I was always invited out, always partying, always having a good time with good friends. I met my friend Allyson in the freshman dorms, whom I still am in close touch with. I spent a lot of time with Theta Omega Phi (Prometheus) Fraternity, where I met my best friend Scott, plus a ton of other awesome guys. I joined SAI in Fall of '96 (Pledge By Mail, right girls?!), met my awesome friends Jen, Christine and Courtney there, and had some wild adventures that probably can't be repeated on this website. ;-) Workplace When I went to Potsdam, I studied music and art. Like an idiot, I followed Neal out to Fort Collins, Colorado where I planned on attending CSU. I was accepted, but unfortunately the tuition was too high. So, I worked for awhile, and then applied and was accepted to Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver. We moved down there, I went to school for two years honing my animal nursing skills, and graduated with a 3.5 GPA and a degree in veterinary technology. I passed the National Board Examination (the first time around, unlike some of my friends), and started working in my field almost immediately. I left CO and worked in Walton for 6 months until we moved to Rochester, where I worked at a clinic for almost 2 years. Then my ex quit his job suddenly like a frigging moron, forcing us to move back home where I could work for my father until Neal found something else to do. So I ran my dad's alehouse for over a year, got rid of the ex (LONG story), worked at Bellevue Building Supply when I couldn't stand working with my dad anymore, and saved up to move back to Rochester, where I started dating Tony, and am now working at an animal hospital here where I am very much underappreciated and underpaid. But I love the job, so I'll suffer for now.
