Jessica's Story
School
My god! I loved high school. Life at Lloyd was pretty cake compared to the "real world" where we pay our own bills. I think I miss the football games the most & driving around Erlanger with friends without a license (that could have ended up pretty bad now that I think about it). lol.
College
I'm STILL at NKU. I have my bachelor's degree in Literature with a minor in Sociology, but now I'm working on my Master's degree. Some "for fun" classes that I took as an undergrad include: Organic Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and .... math!
It's taken a bit of time to earn my bachelor's, but I've been working and taking care of my grandfather at the same time so, I'm not too disappointed at my progress.
I also had some pretty awesome opportunities to travel to other cities for conferences, I joined Delta Gamma Sorority and met some amazing new friends, and I got a little involved with some of the student groups.

Work
I just aim to earn enough to live simply. I value my free time and the time I spend with family and friends.
Volunteerism
I think it's important to give back to my community whenever possible. Usually I raise funds for walk-a-thons or serve on committee's. Currently, I serve on Prevent Blindness Ohio's 2008 Light the Night for Sight committee. I also pick up my niece and nephew on the weekends and try to teach them social skills and encourage them to do well in school so that they may one day go to college and better themselves.
Military
Initially, in high school, I had plans of joining the Air Force. I still think it would have been a great career choice for me, but I didn't follow through with it b/c I thought I was in love (I'm sure you all know what that's like).
My cousin Rob did join the USAF though and I am just so extremely proud of him. I have always looked up to him and my other cousin, Douglas almost all my life.
