Jessica's Story
Life
I have travelled far too often since graduating from highschool! I spent 4 years in Columbus, OH, 9 months in Cleveland, and 3 months in Cincinatti. Then I spent 1 month in Arkansas, 2 years in Boston, and will be moving to Harrisburg, PA very soon. I am hoping to settle down soon, but doubt PA will be where that happens.
Because I have lived in so many cities, I have friends all over the place. It is convenient for the times when I travel... I hardly ever have to stay in a hotel, but it makes it tricky to keep in touch with everyone.
School
Like many people from my highschool, I can honestly say I am glad I got out of there! While there were some really good times and memories, I wouldn't want to relive the whole experience over again.
College
The best 4 years of my life! Ninety percent of the people from my college would agree with me too, I have to believe. Our school was so small that almost everyone knew almost everyone else. It was a close-knit community that was mainly friendly and fun.
I joined a sorority early on, and although I sometimes regretted the decision, I also can't imagine what life would be like if I weren't a part of it. A lot of my sisters shared very different opinions from my own, but being around such diversity was a good thing for me.

le whom I enjoyed being around. My major is not a common one in most universities, so it was great to find like-minded people and professors who really knew what they were talking about. I still keep in touch with a few of them, which is really amazing.
Anyone who spent any time at the Tree House knows what a great place that was. My best friendships were formed through living there for 2 years.
And who could forget the frat parties and trips to the Backstretch and Finish Line bars? I may have looked and acted like an innocent person most of the time, but if you saw me out and about, you knew differently!
Workplace
Starting in July 2004 I begin work with the Pennsylvania Commonwealth as a Management Associate. I will rotate through several state government agencies learning the ins and outs of policy making, creating budgets, managing human resources, etc. After a year I will begin work with an agency of my choice, hopefully the Department of Environmental Protection or Dept. of Agriculture.
Before this job I worked for a couple environmental education centers, did field research for the University of Georgia, and performed various administrative duties for my graduate school.
In the long run I hope to become an executive director of a nonprofit organization and/or run for the Senate. Going to law school is another option I am considering.
