Jill's Story
Hello to you all that shared my high school moments at Waianae High School. Class of 1971.,.I was a military Army Brat my Dad was in the Army for 20 years. When he retired we headed to Oahu ,and I attended Waianae high school, what an adjustment to Island Life. I had been going to school previously all over the USA where ever my Dad was stationed, We also lived in Butzbach Germany for a few years ,in school they taught us to speak German so I still enjoy speaking German although whenever we now go to Europe everyone speaks English.
So Waianae High School I met such great friends , also met Pedro Duropan class of 1972, We married and he enlisted in the Air Force and again I continued my travels now as an Air Force Spouse. I had just lived on the Island to finish my high school and returned back to living back stateside where ever we got stationed., Only to return back to the island for visits with family .We have 3...Expand for more
son's , Pete retired in 1993 after his 20 years in the Air Force and we made Las Vegas NV our home ,Our son's all live here in Vegas and we have 6 grandchildren, Pete passed away in 2005 , we were married for 34 years.
I continue my life and travels for 17 years now with Frank he is USAF retired from Minnesota ,1971 graduate from Chisholm High., We travel every year to Europe ,Spring and Fall on very long cruises on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, We are members of the Crown and Anchor Society and also with the Cruise Critic Group, Sailings of over 80 cruises we are now in a Pinnacle Club , some of our cruises are comped making us sail for months, through Europe.
Being retired everyday is any day we want it to be.
Life was not easy but we are all here at this point in life we reflect on moments of our young life and where we are today. I hope life has been kind to you, should we meet again , for now Bon Voyage, Jill
