Jim's Story
After William Aberhart, worked for Canada Post for a few years until I joined Transport Canada as a Radio Operator, basically, sit with my feet up on the desk and try and stay awake. With Transport Canada, later NavCanada spent time up North, Norman Wells, NT, Dawson City, YT, Fort Smith NT, and relief work in Fort Good Hope and Sach Harbour NT.
Transferred out of the North in '87 to Lloydminster AB where I spent 20 years before retirement. Got tired of the winters and ask wife if she want to move back to here home village...I need not ask.
After retiring in 2006, moved out to the country , near a small village in BC. Keremeos. Daughter and family followed a few years later, 2 kids and looks like #3 on the way, but still not grandpa material. Son is happy in a family home sett...Expand for more
ing in Kelowna along with his care givers and 2 other room mates.
My life now, putter around the yard and house, play poker at the Casino in Penticton, Search and Rescue, volunteer driver and delivery or Meals on Wheels...my live in a nut shell
Build computers for a hobby, but that's getting a bit expensive and not many rooms left in the house to put another one so may have to find something else to do
now am doing knots...what else can you do with paracord...
P.S. 3 hours east of Hope, BC, but guess its such a small village, Classmates wants me in a larger place...
