Jim's Story
Valerie and I in Villefranche, France -- May 2014. We have now both officially retired and moved into our new home here in Naples, Florida. We picked Naples for its year round warm weather, over abundance of golf courses, and having a place to take up boating on warmer waters than the Pacific. To celebrate our retirement and my graduating from from "Captain's School": , we took a Trans-Atlantic cruise from Miami to Rome; Villefranche was one of our intermediate stops.
Valerie and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary this year and my kids - David (28) and Erika (25) live in San Diego - no marriages, divorces, or grandkids yet.

ls like a different era -- perhaps this means I've finally grown up? Naw - we bought a boat -- the toys are just sillier...
Since leaving Laguna, I have lived on the west coast, east coast, middle America and Hawaii -- overseas in Italy and Korea. United Airlines loves me because I have flown the better part of 2 million miles in their unfriendly seats - flying coach from San Diego to Bahrain will definitely cramp your style. Between uniformed and civilian service - active and reserve - I was in service to our country for almost 40 years and am a Gulf War veteran.
We don't know what tomorrow holds but we are happy, healthy, and feeling truly blessed -- hoping for another 40 years of love, travel, and new experiences.
