Jim's Story
Life
I grew up as a military brat, so I moved around every few years (thats why all the different schools). I was active growing up with activities like Boy Scouts, Band, and various sports and hobbies. After Graduating High School, I immediately ventured west and settled in Longmont Colorado. I worked in Colorado as a carpenter/cabinetmaker, warehouseman, Aerospace Technician, Mountain Rescuer, Mountain Guide and Entrepenuer. In 2000 I was tipped of to a great job opening, and applied to it and went through the 20 Month hiring process, and in April 2002 became a Federal Agent with the United States Border Patrol and Was stationed at Nogales Arizona. I got married to my wife Jo Anna in 2006. We are foster parents and adopted our daughter Julianna in 2016 and await the opportunity to adopt our foster son.. I still enjoy any outdoor activities and eagerly await the next time I go backpacking, canoeing or any form of climbing or skiing.

ad a varied employment history. I started out as a Carpenter / Cabinetmaker and completed my Apprenticeship in 1984. I then moved into Warehousing work for Aspen Imaging and then Ball Aerospace. I also worked Part time as a climbing Director / Climbing Instructor along with owning my own Business which did anything with Mountaineering and I still maintain my membership as a member of the American Mountain Guides Association. I also became very active in Mountain rescue in 1988 and am still active and involved in various teams. In 2002 I shifted gears and moved to the Southwest Desert as a Federal Agent working with the U.S. Border Patrol, but after graduating the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center I struggled with trying to learn the Spanish Language at a very accelerated pace and am waiting to get picked up in another Federal Law Enforcement Position. Currently I am a Correctional Officer III for the Arizona Department of Corrections and member of the Chase team.
