hirty years teaching literature and interdisciplinary courses, with leaves to teach in China, Spain and Mexico and to conduct research in England, Ireland and Ethiopia.
Following my retirement, I lived in India for three years. and then in southwest Florida. I now live in Mexico.
Over the past fifty years, I have played guitar (and violin) and sung in a number of country and folk-rock bands. These days I read, I write, I try to keep myself informed, I try daily to improve as a fiddler, and I walk often and briskly..
I have a daughter and a son and three grandchildren—with whom I am very well-pleased. I am married, and I am content to live South of the Border.
I think often of many old friends from Hammond High and Lanier Junior High, in Munster.
