Jim's Story
After a few years teaching school and a few more in retail management (General Manager for Holly Stores and Branch Manager for U.S. Industries) and a stint owning and operating two coffee shops and a wholesale bakery, I found that I was happy only when I was helping others.
I have worked in management and in administration for many years for non-profit organizations serving people who need help. Usually organizations serving developmentally disabled individuals, people with mental illness, frail elderly, physically handicapped and combinations of the above.
I am currently the Executive Director of a non-profit organization providing nutrition assistance in seven Colorado counties as well as senior meal sites and meals on wheels in Montrose, Delta and San Miguel counties.

e with all my heart and I am currently helping raise my wife¿s two teen daughters 13 and 15 ½ (It¿s driving license and high insurance time again!) I love them too but teenagers are not always easy!
I signed up on this site as a lark. In truth, after graduation from Grand Junction High School I chose to never look back as it wasn¿t a fun time. I had a few people I could call friends but it was a large school and a shy kid who lived on a farm, liked to play trombone and didn¿t play sports wasn¿t part of most popular groups.
Probably the thing I regret most about that time in my life is that at the time I was too shy to tell the people I really respected and/or liked (both class mates and teachers) that I felt that way about them.
If you remember me, drop a line. Chances are if you remember me then you were one of those people I respected and liked but never told.
