Jim's Story
Six months after graduation I got my draft notice and joined the Air Force. Met the love of my life after returning from Viet Nam in 1969. Rachel and I are still together—54 years and counting . Eight years in the military were enough so I got out and joined the Foreign Service and spent the next 33 years with the U.S. Department of State. Our lovely daughter Natalie was born in Athens, Greece and our son Stephen in Nairobi, Kenya. o be the Chief Information Officer for the Department of State with the rank of Assistant Secretary of State . After two years as the CIO, I retired from government in November, 2007. Not one to sit at home, I went to work for a large Information Technology company. After four years, I retired (again) and formed my own consulting company. In 2013 we moved to Colorado where we live on a golf course with an amazing view of the Rocky Mountains. We have two wonderful granddaughters (one from each of our children) and two grandsons that we dote on. Life is good!
