Jim's Story
I have been married for 46 years to a wonderful woman, Jane, who I meet while we were at college at Appalachian State University. We have two great, grown children, William and Sarah and a granddaughter, Sylvia. I retired from the U.S. Navy after 31 years, rising from Fireman (E-3) to Commander (O-5). er, and truly did see the world. After retiring from the Navy, I taught high school social studies for five years and worked part-time as a costumed interpreter for 10years in Yorktown, VA. I’m now fully retired and in my free time, I ride my ‘22 BMW F750GS on long camping trips, sail, read, and golf. Additionally, my wife and I are raising and training a future service dog for Canine Companions.
