Jimmie's Story

Jimmie is from Tacoma, Washington. Jimmie's schools include Kimberly High School., University of Oklahoma, BA in Comparative Literature, Kennedy School of Government Harvard University, MPA in Economics and Public Policy, and Seattle University, MSF Master of Science in Finance. After leaving Kimberly High for the wonderful world beyond, I primarily and initially pursed completing my educational dreams. And to a very large extent each of my goals was accomplished. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BA in Comparative Literature. I fell so in love with English study, and I started to pursue a PhD in English at the University of Virginia (UVA). My ambitions were very high, and I applied to the number 1 rated school for the study of English. UVA was an incredible place to study with the very best English professors in residence. UVA was considered a Public Ivy League school where the students used to wear coats and ties. When the teaching ended at the semester, the professors were applauded. It is one of my favorite learning experiences. In my drive to gain a broader and useful knowledge base, I applied to the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. I was accepted and received a first-rate economics and public policy education. The MPA was always very useful during my 30-year career in working for and with Tribal governments across the US. In my focused effort to ever gain more skills, I went to Seattle University where I earned a Master of Science in Finance, (MSF). I achieved this goal while working for a secondary market operator in Minneapolis, MN. It was back-breaking work to work full time and to earn the degree in 3 years.
