jimmy's Story
For those who don't remember me. let me jog your memory. I was always with a girlfriend. Started with Louise Fong who was a well kown beauty that dropped me like a rock. Linda Andrews was next followed then my favorite, Debbie Taylor. We were always together and built lifetime memories. Ran with Mike Ruff, Gomer, Danny Sprouse and David Bryan when I left my dates. Needless to say, we were best known for being in trouble. I lead the nation in licks from Mr. O.D. Stringer and Coach Whitworth. Mrs. Stephens didn't care for me Mrs Del Mar misunderstood me. I didn't need a lot of help to get in trouble but my brother, Larry Branch, and Mike Ruff were major contributors. I left for Garland to attend Kilgore College where i made the Dean's list, both of 'em. One time for my good grades and two other times for the wrong reasons. The first for leading what was deemed as an "inappropriare cheer" at the homecominh pep rally (with Mike Ruff). The student body and faculty loved it. The Dean didn't and he said the alumni didn't either, but I think they did. The other for "borrowing" a classmates VW and gentty placing it on the library steps. Married Tina Kaylor and had a son, Rusty. Divorced 4 years later. Went to ETSU and ran into Carolyn Mollard. The first girl that could keep me in check. Married her and we're still going 37 years strong. We have two children Kimberly and Spencer and all three of our kids have 8 grandkids. Finished college with a B.S. in Education (English and P.E.) Had a long and very successful coaching career in just about all sports except volleyball. Recieved my Masters in counseling . Went to Sul Ross and got my mid-management certification and spent the remainder 19 years as a high school administrator. Lot of teachers from Garland are still shaking their head. I truly love kids and have a pretty good life!
