Jo Carol's Story

Life I graduated from Baptist Memorial Health Sciences in Memphis in 1976. I worked as a Nuclear Medicine Manager and moved to Houston in 1980. For a few years, I worked as a Nuclear Technologist in community hospitals. I then moved to St. Joseph Hospital in Houston as the Assistant Director of Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Therapy. I married D.J. Smith in 1983. In 1984, I decided to alter my career and joined a company, Syncor International. Syncor is a national network of nuclear pharmacies. I did Sales with Syncor for 8 years, then went into management with the company. For the next three years, I managed various pharmacies in Texas. For the following two years, I was a General Manager for Texas, managing both sales and operations...Expand for more
. I then changed to Corporate Accounts, where I negotiated national contracts between my company and major hospital systems.
