Joan's Story
Joan Rhodes Smiley, I have lived in Madison. Wi. for over 40 years. I love it here, big Badger fan. My husband pasted away after 54 years last February. I am doing good I have a great group of friends that are really special. I spend a lot of time on the golf course and working in my large yard. Family back home in Serena is all gone except my nephew Mark Setchell.
My Dad, Mom, sister Judy, brother Jim, and nephew Greg Setchell have all passed away.

er Jody that has two beautiful granddaughters that both will be at the
University of I0wa next Fall. Grace will be a Junior and Gwen will be a Freshman.
I graduated from Western Illinois University and then taught Art in Galesburg, Illinois.
When we moved to Wisconsin I opened three retail stores that kept me very busy.
After 17 years I sold all 3 to a couple and moved on to playing golf . That is what has kept me young. Take care and hugs from WISCONSIN, Joan
