Joann's Story

After graduating from Rosary High School, I attended Billings Business College. I returned to Bozeman and worked as a secretary to the Montana Station Experiment Station Editor for 5 years. I married Douglas Wattier a Carrol College Graduate and had 7 children. Doug worked for IBM (which stands for I've been moved LOL). We lived in Endicott, New York, San Jose, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Gaithersburg, MD and finally Scottsdale, AZ for 30 years. After my son's death in 1990, I graduated from Univ. of Phx with a Bachelor of Science in Business & MGT degree. After raising my family as a single mom, I moved to Denver, Colorado and then Colorado Springs. I retire...Expand for more
d as an Academic Counselor with UOP. I loved my job but due to my Mom's bad health I retired in 2001 and moved back to Bozeman to take care of her. I now live with my mom who is 98 years old. We still live in the place where I grew up. I am very busy at this time as a volunteer. I have forgotten how to say or spell, I think the right word is no. I am President of the Board, Belgrade, SR. CTR., a member of RSVP, and deliver meals on wheels to the home bound seniors in Belgrade, MT. I love life, my family and living in Montana. I am very happy. I get together once a month with 2 Rosay High Graduates. We have remained friends through all these years.
