JoAnn's Story
Just out of school I worked for Northern Engraving for over a year, but they laid me off and didn't call me back. Then I started dishwashing at a restaurant in La Crescent; they closed the following spring. I then worked for an archery sights company for three years, and a feather factory for several months. Then I took a two-year hiatus to design and help build a house, and worked for 10 years at a security guard outfit in La Crosse which closed in 2002.
While working for the security company, we contracted in 1998 with an armored car company to provide services for ATMs locally. I've been working with ATM...Expand for more
s ever since, and in 2012 I added Armored Car Guard/Courier to the lineup.
More recently I've learned basic HTML and as of 2009 I became a website coordinator, maintaining a genealogy-based website for Jefferson County, Iowa, as part of the IAGenWeb Project.
