Joanne's Story
Life
I was born and raised in the Galesburg, Il area and moved to
Dixon when I was a junior in high
school. In high school I was pretty quiet and shy. I stuck to
just a couple of friends due to
fear of rejection. I dated only
2-3 people and ended up marrying
Vince Hoyle. We were divorced in
1980 because I finally got enough
self-confidence to know that I can
make it on my own. I remarried in
1982 and that ended in a divoce in
1985. I decided at that point to
go to college and get my Associate
Degree in Nursing. I did and I've
been busy ...Expand for more
since that time. I get
job offers continuely and am now
working for a group out of Kansas
City. Mo. and travel from nursing
home to nursing home sitting in as
their Director of Nurses until they get one hired. This is very
interesting and my goal in the next few months is to get my
Administrators License.
Workplace
At the present time I am a traveling Director of Nurses
for the Tutera Group and I travel from one long term care
facility to another where ever they are in need of a DON.
I really don't have a home base but go where they need me.
