Joanne's Story

Life I am glad to see so many familiar names on this site! It brings back alot of memories! I hope everybody is doing well! I am presently teaching at Birchmount School in Moncton and still loving it! It preety much takes up all my time though! I still find the time to play volleyball, badminton and am doing tai chi! Hope to hear from past and present friends, as well as former students. The Moncton High Reunion was a blast! Bye for now! School I have to say that I always really enjoyed school, particularly Language Arts, and Phys. Ed., as well as the social aspect! I guess that's how I ended up in Education! College I have fond memories of my university days... studying, friends,dances,and partys. Graduation was particularly sweet! Things seemed to move so slow in comparison to big city life in Laval, Quebec! I really enjoyed the cultural diversity at Laval University, especially the frequent visits to Old Quebec City! I wish I could do it all over again! I wouldn't change a thing! Just do more! Workplace After leaving Laval University I returned to Moncton where I began my teaching career. I started out supply teaching at Hillcrest, and Bessborough Schools respectively for a sixth month period. The following September I was hired on fulltime at Hillcrest School where I spent three years. It was a great place to start learning the ropes so to speak! In September of 1990 I transferred to Birchmount School where I am still presently teaching and haven't looked back! I guess teaching is still a passion for me as I still look forward to going in everyday!
