Jodi's Story
I was an insecure kid with an alcoholic father who was in the Navy and gone a lot. I envied my friends who always seemed to have happy home lives, My parents divorced when I was 16 and living in South Bend, WA, so we moved to Tennessee, where my mother was from, and I went to school there for my Junior and half of my Senior years of high school.
We moved back to Washington halfway through my Senior year so my parents could try to rekindle their relationship. I was back in South Bend for two weeks before they decided that it wasn't going to work, We then moved up to Vancouver, WA where I finished my Senior year of High School. nd saying inappropriate things to get the attention that I craved.
I joined the Air Force right out of high school, two months from turning 18. I was trained in computer repair. I spent two years in Japan, where I met my husband. We were married at 19 years old and had our first child less than a year later. We were then sent to Omaha, NE where I had our second child.
A lot has happened in between, but the gist of it is that I've been married for over 40 years, have lived in many different states and different countries, and am a grandmother of 5.
I have the confidence that I lacked as a child and even though I still goof off at times I am not ashamed of who I am, or where I came from.
