Life I met a great guy 2 months after seperating from my 1st husband.Next thing I knew ,I sold my business in NY & moved to ,as I call it, "Don't blink Alabama". I now have a wonderful new husband (we just celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary on 3-18-11) and 2 great step daughters. Katie is 19 she now lives with her mother, Tiffany is 25 & she was in the Air Force. She returned from Bagdad in January 05 & got married. She promised to not make me a gramma for at least another year. But Ooops I became a gramma in November of 05!!! I turned "thirty ten" (3-25-05)I just can't say the "F" word. I retired from the beauty industry completely. No more salon work or hair and nail shows. I am the manager of an upscale Italian restaurant named Cafe Milanos. I prefer spending as much time at home with family as a can. No more 80 hr work weeks for me, Only 60 now. I bought a new Mustang convertable, so even though I have nowhere to go , I look really good getting there.(hehe) My husband is an enviromental engineer and retired in July 2005 at age 44, He is working full time for another water treatment facility here now.But we'd like to move back to NY if he can line up a job there. Altho,I don't miss the snow. I do miss my friends and family. UPDATE...Well we did it, we moved back to NY in July of 07. We are living in West Seneca. My Husband is working for Erie County since September '08 and is very happy to be back working in his field. I am still not working, I am recovering from shoulder surgery. I seem to only leave the house for PT lately. I am hoping to find a job as a receptionist or something similar sometime soon since I can no longer do hair or work standing up. I have been diagnosed with spinal stenosis. It really sucks! If anyone wants to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.I'm on Facebook! UPDATE...9-28-10 I had back surgery in June to try and fix some of the spinal stenosis and spinal spondalolothesis. I also had a disc removed and replaced with a titanium cage. I have 2 rods and 4 screws. And L4-L5 have been fused. I actually have to carry a card that says I have titanium in my back in case I set off a metal detector! lol I am still very restricted as to what I am allowed to do. Ya know, the usual things..no lifting, bending or twisting. So basically, Nothing! I'm in alot of pain but pain pills don't seem to have any effect on me, so that sucks! I just ice it and try not to do anything stupid like picking up my 2 1/2 yr old godson! Boy was that stupid! I can finally start using my recumbent bike again, just have to start slow. I can't even start PT until at least december after I see the surgeon on Dec 15th. I haven't worked since moving back to NY and I am going crazy!
