Jo.'s Story

Well, one morning after high school graduation I was hunting for breakfast and then I was covered in this slick brown crude. After they cleaned me off I had my own banker and a huge house. In the house out back I had a friend called Ed. He was always getting into trouble and this guy with a Hawaian accent kept coming around pestering me about these incidents with some detective named Barney Miller. Pretty soon my college friends Vinny and Horshack were hanging out with me. We all signed up for team basketball one semester but the teacher was this old high school coach who kept wanting us to to call him the white shadow. THIS really creeped us out so we dropped the class. I bounced around a little bit until I ended up on the east coast. Mostly hanging in this bar until Clifford got to be too much. Apparently though enough rubbed off that I won on Jeopardy a few times until I met this guy named Wierd Al. Then I lost and he made this song about me. He was nice enough to pay me a small royalty. With this money I decided I should head Back to school where I almost won a diving scholarship but didn't. Then some frat house caught on fire and they were given my dorm room so I had to sleep in the gym for a few weeks. I was taught the meaning of road trip when I pledged this one frat house and then we had this rad float for homecoming. I left school for a few years as I was a wanted man. Turns out you really don't need to become a doctor to operate on people. Just need a few 1st aid courses and next thing you know you are living in a Swamp, making your own alcohol and operating on people. Finally, they sent me home and I went back to school again. My Sr. year dorm mate would always kick me out when Bootsie came over. Boy oh Boy was I glad to be heading overseas. We built a bridge that ended up helping both the communist and drug kingpin so we blew it up. I headed east to Japan as I had decided to go hunt for this giant green lizard. However, i really only learned to do really bad lip syncing. So i headed iver to Europe, Germany in fact. My bad lip syncing became really good and i joined up with a guy named Milli who kept calling Vanilli. It helped me make a lot of money, but after we came to the US people noticed Millie was lip syncing as soon we were out of work. We were near the Hudson river on a cold night and some dude threw a MickD's bag at us. It had $$$ in it. I bought a shoe store that was doing really well and thought i was set for life until my manager hired his cousin, Al. I eventually gave up the store and went to school, but soon found myself arrested by CSI NY for attempted murder of the Glee Club. My public defender, Arthur, made things worse by yelling "You're out of order," to the judge everytine the judge said something. Needless to say, i was in orange before it was the new black. I met this nice guy who i helped tunnel out of prison. Problem was he couldn't swim so i made it to shore, but couldn't find him. I changed my name and became a cop in LA. Things were going good until iwas assigned a new partner named, "Pep." He was alright, just a little hyped up all the time. It got worse when i became an FBI agent and had deal with detective Carter. I decided to move NYC. I had a long career there until this clown robbed a bank and that is all anyone remebered about my career, until i nabbed Russ Cramer. I starred in some commercials and ended up back in Japan hitting on a married lady csuse i was bored and lonely. Decided this wasnt very nice so i decided to pick up the trail of the giant green lizard. The company i was working with had a newsletter so i told them my...Expand for more
hobby was hunting the giant green lizard. Can't tell you how many people came up to me to try and correct me. But I know that I only paid for a few meals in my 6 months of hunting the lizard. The only wierd thing was that everything was in black and white while I was there. I made it back to the States on plane, but then a storm caused me to use an automobile and train to try and get home to Chicago with this lonely salesguy. (Between you and me - those were NOT pillows! Yech!) Anyways, I made it home to Chicago and was just getting in the shower when this lady burst in yelling for some guy named Kevin. Turns out she was having the same problem getting home from the east coast and me from the west coast. Since Christmas was that day I threw a bird in the oven and started decorating. Couldn't get the lights to work at first, dropped kicked Santa amd knocked all the reindeer around, but then finally, they did come on. I had left the back door open when I was playing with the lights and the neighbors dogs had come in and yanked the bird from the oven. Bumppesses were not nice neighbors With no food to eat I told a cab to take me for some Chinese. Next thing I knew I was on a plan sitting behind this guy, James Carter(again!), who kept mispronouncing Gefilte Fish all during the flight. Anyways, In Hong Kong was trying to order some bird and I saw the same guy trying to save some chickens! So I settled for dim sum. Apparently the plane crashed and I awoke on a fishing boat with no memory of who i am, but can speak French and Russian. What have you done since high school? BTW I am still looking for that big green lizard. I have learned it shows up in Hollywood every few years so i might head there. How much is truth and how much isnt't? Atleast it is interesting, eh? Truth be told. Been to many places for work. However, the ones I will always remember are the times amd places with family, friends or where I met new friends. Building a float at Pete Muellers house. Staying up.all night before the bus ride to Cedar Pt. And Cedar Pt. Working as a college intern in Japan, people in the company dorm, the people I met on my internship. And, the travels while over there. I did an intro for the company newsletter that stated I was hunting for Gojira Caused quite a few employees to come up and talk to me because of my intro. Then there were the college trips we would take. The college competitions that we placed in the top 5 nationally while shorthanded. Being president of 2 college orgs at the same time while being co chair of 2 others. Weekend trips in the city that i was remotely working in. My sons.. 21+ years of being privileged to watch them grow, learn, question and succeed. Yes, they failed at things. But, we talked through it and then I would watch as they took responsibilty or tried again (depending on the case). My oldest swam for his college and now is a studrnt coach. My youngest has been officer in a couple of college clubs and has had 2 in demand internships. Always spending time with me through my transition and after. Found a pup. Met a couple people recovering from cancer treatments on out explorations (walks to most dogs). 3 of them feel like he is their dog. The way he runs to say hi and the love he gives. f 3 In the last couple months, my pup and I were invited to their houses during 2 of the friends final weeks/days. With him cuddling on the bed with them. Pup and I are decided to learn to be a therapy dog since he lives people, dogs and life. Soon we will be a therapy team. Life has led me in many directions and my blessed life just keeps getting better.
