joe's Story
i used to live on brighton street went in the army Oct 73 came back 1980, join the reserve, work in 1st Jag in Ft Sam Houston, left in 92 to join National Guard off IH-35 . the 2/131st MLRS. Missile Luncher Rocket System, became the NBC NCO with combat skills, did two tours to Iraq, fist tour my team was the security Team for the Navy EDO team, looking for IDE and dispose of it. for one whole year. went with a unit from Dallas never went with my owe unit. just needed to belong to a unit. in and came back 3 month early cause coming out of bagdad hit an IED-inprovice explosive device been truck commander always leading the pack brought me home early was in BMAC for two month. Retired in 2008 after 28yrs they would not let me do 30yrs. I live in northwest of san Antonio and ejoying my retirement. I have 6 brothers and 7 sisters same mom and dad. my borther Ray grad 74 and my sister mary ann grad 72, nice been back home, miss to many grathering ready for the next reunion please let me not when tanks.
