John's Story
Graduation year was a busy one for me. I got married on Jan.l1, 1983, had a daughter on June 12th and joined the army that October.
I stayed in the Army until 1989 when I got out to care for my three daughters. Cheri was the oldest, Samantha was born in 1986 and Rebecca came along in 1988.
I got divorced in 1992 and remarried in March 1994, and welcomed another daughter, Sarah Joy in Sept. 1994.
I went to work at Etnyre's in Oregon, IL after the army, and stayed there for 10 years. I started at Henr...Expand for more
y Pratt company in Jan. 2000 and stayed with them until they shut down in June 2006. I started at Chrysler in Belvidere, IL June 2006 and stayed until they eliminated my third shift positon in march of this year.
I am currently attending Sauk Valley Community College to obtain my CDL license in hopes of either working for the state or the prison.
My two oldest daughters made me a grandparent in 2005 and 2007. Cheri has a daughter Emily Marie Allen, and Samantha has a daughter Mackenzie Ruth Johnson.
