John Blaicher:  

After finishing grade 12 at Micheal Power I moved to Lindsay Ontario where I attended Lindsay High and completed grade 13. After graduating from high school I earned an Honours BA and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Waterloo. I was married during this entire timeline and together with my 1st wife Ruth, we had two children, Jon, born in Lindsay on December 16, 1970, and Joel born in Waterloo on February 27, 1972. After graduating from U of W, I was employed by the City of Thunder Bay as the Aquatic Director. I worked for the City of TB from 1975 to 1979 when I was headhunted by the Lifesaving Society, Ontario Branch. At the LSS I enjoyed an 11-year carrier in two capacities, Program Director and Marketing Director. Once again I was Headhunted and decided to join the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs as their Marketing Director. It was at the OFSC that I launched my own Company, Blaicher Marketing International Inc. For the next 12 years, I continued to work for the OFSC under contract, but my company also developed a long list of clients that included but was not limited to: - Insurance Bureau of Canada - Mustang Survival Corporation - Canadian Marine Manufacturers Association -Brewers of Ontario - US Coast Guard - Ontario Sailing Association - Canadian Sailing Association -Sport Ontario - International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association - Bombardier - National Recreation and Parks Association - Ontario Marine Operators Association - Canadian Coast Guard - Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs - Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations My Co. employed some incredible individuals and together we won several Provincial, National and International Marketing Awards.
