John C's Story
For Classmates members checking out the pages for John Charles Smith, I am saddened to report that John passed away on April 15th 2011 in Charlotte North Carolina. He had suffered with cirrohsis of the liver for slightly over three years. His last few years were spent in and out of the hospital, but for the most part he continued to live life to the fullest every day. His last few weeks were tough on him mentally as he slowly realized that something was not right and he was not getting better.

nt the last three weeks being watched over by his partner in life (16 yrs), Kerry Joel Beck, and later his mother, Margie McNabb of Greeneville also was at his side.
Throughout his life John most enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.

John was layed to rest in Greeneville, TN on April 20th 2011 at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
