John's Story
After high school, I hitchhiked across the US and Canada just for fun every summer until hitchhiking fizzled out in our culture. I graduated college with majors in English and Secondary Ed., which enabled me to teach high school English for a few years. Since 1980, I have been a college professor and a professional storyteller and have taught meditation since 1973. eaching schedules and committee meetings, and I cherish the increased time I now have to develop my storytelling. I also enjoy meditating, reading, cooking, skiing, and playing harmonica, ukulele, and bodhran. Mostly, I am happy to just be. Our amazing daughter is an accomplished artist with degrees from Cornell U. in Art History, Fine Art, and Pre-Law. In addition, she has earned an MA in arts administration from Columbia U. in NYC. and is now attending law school at University of Pennsylvania in Philly.
