John's Story
Navy- Air Force Retired,(SSgt) Disabled Vet , Stationed in Japan, Philippines, Korea during and after the Vietnam Era. ( left school in 1974-got bored walked down Jos. Campau to the NAVY Recruiter in Hamtramck from Northeastern the day school was supposed to start back, passed the GED and kept on going. Looking back, it was the wisest thing I ever did ) ( left the Navy and joined the Air Force in 1976 when they found out I was like, a year too young, they didn't care, they just wanted bodies ) AA Film Media Arts , AA Business; B.A. Human Resources, MA Theology. Lived in Detroit, Dallas, Flint; Arkansas, Johannesburg South Africa, Arusha Tanzania, Cabarete/Santiago Dominican Republic ; currently live in San Antonio , Texas. Married ( more times than I'm going to tell you ) 6 children 13 grandchildren. Musician; ( Bass-Keys-Winds) photo/video/audio engineering. Ordained Minister. Certified HR Administrator.

Things I love : Music, it's always been a distraction-Jazz and 'ol school R&B
Basketball : I played a lot from sunup to sundown on Knudsen and Sophie Wrights courts. Travelling. I got the bug in the military and still get the itch about every 2-3 years. Kids and Grandkids. Strong genes, I see myself in all of them.
EDUCATION : I'm making up for dropping out. Not done yet, law school is on the horizon
Flying. Injuries forced me to let go of flying. Boats.
FATAL FLAW: EIDETIC MEMORY : Don't know if it's a blessing or curse but I can recall everything, everyone from about age 4. Conversations, events , slights, courtesies. people.
Greatest Love: God the Almighty and His Son
Worse Enemy : Bullies. There's a reason
Wisdom:
Life is too short to hold grudges. It begins in a flash and ends in the blink of an eye, the energy you spend on hate, jealousy ignorance and intolerance, you can spend on embracing GOD and making change within YOURSELF to understand the mechanisms that make you hate.
Thanks to my father and mother stepmother for having the wisdom to let me leave home at 16. Thanks to the Armed Forces for making me stronger and wiser. Thanks to the Almighty God for letting me live these SIX decades. Many said I wouldn't make it.
