John's Story
Life
A US Marine combat veteran, John is co-founder with his son, John Jr, of Document Technologies, Inc (DTI). DTI is a leader in electronic document outsourcing solutions. Since its founding in 1998 DTI grew to over 150 locations in 45 cities with more than $750 million in annual revenues and over 5000 employees. DTI plans to grow to 50 national and 10 international cities. Prior to starting DTI, John was a Regional Vice President for a national outsourcing company. Graduating Magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina (W), John served 23 years in the Marine Corps advancing from the lowest enlisted rank to become a field grade officer. hairman of the board of directors of the Marine Executive Association, an association dedicated to assisting Marines in transition. John is also a Founder of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation which is responsible for building the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The Museum is now open and is a national treasure. John is married to the former Joanne Ferrisi, and they have three adult children and nine grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. John retired from DTI and is relaxing in Beaufort, SC and Miami Beach, FL. DTI has recently expanded internationally and continues to grow domestically.
Military
Began as a private and retired as a field grade officer. I was subjected to tremendous leaders who taught me a great deal about how to succeed in life. By following their example I've done okay.
