John's Story
Life
Hi. I went off to a prep school in Connecticut in September 1960 (The Taft School)and graduated from there in 1964. I spent three years in the US Army, including Vietnam from Dec 66 to Dec 67 and Aug 68 to June 69. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, where I met and married the daughter of the Dean of Students in 1971. Posey and I spend a lot of time in Chapel Hill and are support Tarheel athletic programs. We are still married and have two daughters who live in Newburyport, MA (a teacher and lawyer) and one son who lives just north of Charlotte (ex college lacrosse jock and now a banker). em equally. Posey & I raised our family in Camp Hill, PA and then for twenty years in Ipswich, MA just north of Boston. We now live in North Carolina, and I work for a large insurance company. I'm lucky to have great health so far. I hope that everyone in the Class of 1960 is well and has fond memories of SLS. Since I lived in Allendale and took the Public Service bus to school and was shy at the time, I didn't know all my classmates as well as I would have liked to. That makes me sad, especially when I see a couple of new names here in Classmates. John D, we had a few laughs along the way though, didn't we?
