John D.'s Story

4/17/18-Update - We’ll, sold our forever home and moved to Keizer, Oregon. Had our fourth grandchild and decided to spend more time with my kids and grandkids. Since I’ve got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peal...might as well do it! Moved back to Medford in 1996 after being in Portland for a number of years working for BofA. It was a stressful, but satisfying career working In installment collections being a repo guy and eventually to AVP in the Commercial Loan/Collections department. stealing cars, trucks, boats, skidders, even an airplane etc.. was a rush and to this day...my favorite work experience ever. The last 22 years I've worked for Jackson County with the last six years as a Program Manager in the Information Technology department. I retired in May 2017 and all is good!! Really looking forward to many more Harley miles with my UGLYmc Brothers and indulged in some much needed fishing, hunting and camping. I've been happily married since September 25th, 1976. My children; son and daughter have very successful careers and are living in west hills of Portland area. Grand babies have arrived and I'm a happy grandpa! Life is good as long as I can sit on 800 plus pounds of American iron with some wind in my face not to mention a good Jack Daniels and cigar in the evening. Yes, life is good! Not much else to say here, but I would like to hear from classmates from Medford. I know ...Expand for more
most of you don't remember me by any means for I never made it to any "who's who" list! As mentioned, I was extremely introverted and never really had any friends. (Ok, go get the yearbook now, Remember I left Medford from Medford Mid-High School. So need to check the 1969 Mid-High yearbook! These days I'm just a computer geeky guy that rides a bad ass Harley more miles than most people put on their cars and I love the outdoors. I like to work hard, play hard and I'm still alive, for now. Above all, I'm blessed with having a loving God and awesome family. Also, being that I was a transplant from Medford to K.U. in my sophomore year, it would be great to hear from some of you, especially those I went to school with in Medford since first grade at Washington, Junior High at McLaughlin, and Medford Mid High. Klamath Union was a good school, but being an introvert, quiet and from Medford, I pretty much was alone for my last two years of high school. And no, I’m not in any KU year book...... Not their fault, that’s on me, just the way it turned out! Now that I'm a classified as a trained extrovert, all is good. I would like to visit, talk or just shoot the breeze with anyone from any of the schools I attended, Please feel free to drop me an email if you would like. If I don't remember you, that's all good, time to get reacquainted again.. I will use my age for an excuse for just about anything though..... :-) .
