John's Story
Hello Friends from the past,
Some of us endured a rough road, back then. Too much "partying," and not enough discipline to stay ontop of my school homework brought down my high school grades so low that I didn't really graduate with the class in 1970. I had to leave that school (Alameda High School) with a deficit. It seems that other people, some who partied more than me, had no problem graduating on time. If you can, then let me know your secret.
I got a telephone call from an Army recruiter in March of 1970, who told me that it would be my last chance to be a war hero. I said, "No thanks."
Shortly afterwards, I was hospitalized, and put on the mental health system. On the program, I finished high school. I also earned two Associate degrees.

e me a chance. There is always a social stigma that stays with people who were hospitalized in some of the institutions where I was. Until 1984 it was hard for me to hold down gainful employment.
From 1984 to 2002 I was gainfully employed. And, then the NASDAQ crashed. Luckily, for me, I invested in this townhouse, instead of the Harley Davidson, that some of my friends wanted me to buy. From 2002 until now, I have been working like a slave, with a deficit, all of the time. My father had helped me buy this townhouse, and he isn't worried about getting all of his money. However; out of principle, I still work and put forth an honest effort.
I still keep looking/searching for the right employment/business opportunity. However; It appears that soon, I may be able to retire, and give up on the "rat race."
