John's Story
John is originally from Hartford, CT, having lived in West Hartford, CT and now lives in Avon, Connecticut. John is married to Jeanne Carol Roy Gurchin (Class of 1970 Northwest Catholic High School). John's schools include Northwest Catholic High School. John later attended Saint Francis Hospital's School of Respiratory Therapy ( working at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Hospital and Windham Memorial Hospital ). Attended Greater Hartford Community College, Central Connecticut State University along with The University of Connecticut (Nursing Home Administration). Graduated from University of Hartford, Barney School of Business Administration, (bachelor of science degree). I had an absolute blast during the early 1980's over there. I'd goof off enrolled in advanced courses before beginner courses, understanding that crap already, building computers while new freshmen and juniors couldn't believe that an older guy (me), just didn't pay attention cause of sheer boardem. inking, "lawsuit" however a judging agency had selected 1 of six entries...Grand Prize winner from a Polmolive sweeps for 6k. Yikes! That hobby lasted until year 2000, most promotions wentcomputerized, gobbling up precious time. Keep every winner notification. Simply wrong Sweepstakers were winning. Filled many moments of school boredom. I digress.
Enlisted in the Air National Guard of Connecticut and as a reserve of the Air Force from February 18, 1970, being Honorably discharged from duty on February 17, 1976. Assigned to the Connecticut Air National Guard, 103rd Combat Support Squadron Fighter Group, reassigned 103rd Tactical Fighter Group, Bradley IAP, Windsor Locks, Connecticut, Served as Staff Sergeant (SSgt) learning invaluable intelligence communication and what was "really" flying up above our heads. Would do it all again, just for the fun and adventure. John also worked at: "The Holiday Nursing Home", Manville, Rhode Island. John works "unofficially" as P.T. consultantat for "The Holiday Retirement", West Hartford, Connecticut. Otherwise, spending way too much time with household dogs and cats. Studying currently compute driven 3-D graphic modeling and technical photography, attempting to grasp what a daughter learned in "Fine Arts", without distraction from overpriced schooling (but, what would any dad know about that)?
Currently attempting to "semi-retire".
