John's Story
Life
Well let's see since high school I went to EWC and finished a degree in indisiciplinary studies. Then tried to go to UW, did not like it so I left. I went to the Wyoming Air National Guard so that they could pay for me to finish. After I finished Basic and Tech school at Lackland AFB in Texas, I did a temporary duty in Greeley Colorado for three months. I went to Chadron and finished with my degree in criminal justice. The Air Guard offered me a position as a security officer until I could find something else. I ended up staying with them for nearly seven years including my part-time duties with them. I met my future wife at the Cheyenne Club and we have been together ever since. I was having trouble breathing especially after I had finished exercising and doing common chores around the house. were fruitless. I was discharged in 2003. Thank goodness I did not see any action in the Gulf which if I had I would probably be there now. I joined the Laramie County Sheriff's Department in 2003 and continue to be with them now. I work in the jail. I have been trying to find ways to get out. I have been married to Karen for almost five years. No kids yet but still working on that. Our only child right now is our minature dacshound, Sierra. She is the sweetest thing ever. Not a whole lot since. Well it's been a few months since I've updated this thing but something has come up since my last writing. When I came back from my vacation in late August I was told by my supervisors that I was being transfered to the patrol division of the department. In August 2008 I left the Laramie County Sheriff's Department. In January 2009, I went to work for VRC Invetigations as a surveillence investigator. The company handles workman's comp and insurance fraud cases.
