After high school, I worked in the tool and die industry while studying at Cal Poly Pomona. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Psychology with a Minor in Management and Human Resources. My first career job was with Security Pacific Corporation (now Bank of America) as a Human Resources generalist and special projects manager. Then I went to work for McLaren Graduate School of Management at the University of San Francisco where I consulted with private companies, human service organizations, and government agencies in the area of supported employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. I also earned a Law degree. While studying for the Bar Exam, I operated my own consulting business to help human services organizations in the areas of Strategic Marketing, Program Evaluation, Quality Improvement Systems, Disability and the Law, and Workplace Accommodations for People with Disabilities.
