John's Story
After graduating from Lee in 1982, I went to the University of Virginia for 4 years and graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering. My first two jobs were as a design structural engineer and later project manager for two prominent A/E firms in the DC area. I spent 17 years at my next position, becoming a shareholder in a top construction management and consulting firm that grew from 20 to over 300 people while I was there. I married Lynn in 1991, she is from Leesburg, Va. We lived in Reston, then Oakton. Except for 4 years at UVA, I have lived continually in Fairfax County since 1970. We enjoyed traveling - especially the Pacific Northwest, Rockies, and Caribbean for 7 years. Then we had our first little treasure, daughter Jodie in 1998. Her little brother Eric came along in 2001.
