John's Story
Life
After evacuation from Wheelus Air Force Base, Libya, in 1967, I moved to Red Bluff, California, then Mountain Home, Idaho.
After graduating from Mountain Home High School, I graduated with a journalism degree from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Worked in hospital public relations in the Bellingham area for about five years.

in Montana. Then as managing editor of the Peninsula Daily News in Port Angeles, WA.
During this time I was married for ten years to a writer-editor that I met in Texas. It didn't work out.
After that, took two years off to relax, filling in briefly as a temp. assistant city editor at the Bellingham Herald in Washington.
Now, I'm the wire editor, responsible for nation-world news, at The Herald in Everett, WA. Presently living just north of downtown Seattle. Life is good...
