John's Story
Life
To all long time friends and acquaintances, I am alive and well in Austin, Texas. What an incredible journey I have been on the last 21 years since graduating from Uni!
Let's see, let's start with my freshman year at UC Santa Cruz as a Banana Slug. I loved my time there and got to know some great people but didn't focus on school and majored in partying. Compiled some college debt and then had to leave because I couldn't afford it anymore. Back in San Diego from 86-87 and then realized I needed $ for college and joined the US Army. Proudly served in Germany for 2 years (what a great time and beautiful place-almost didn't come back) and then in Texas with 1st Cav at Ft. Hood. back and deployed to SW Asia. Saw combat in Gulf war and kept my head on a swivel. Returned to USA in '91 and got out and moved to Austin to finish up college at UT. Graduated with honors from UT and bleed burnt orange as a diehard Longhorn. Started our family with the birth of the first of my 4 lovely girls in '94. Worked as a manager for UPS running their Austin facility until 2005 when I left to manage a car dealership in Round Rock, Texas. Today I live for my ladies, my wonderful wife Carol and my girls Elizabeth, Victoria, Katherine and Alexandra! I'll turn 40 this year and I feel better than I did when I was 25!!! I'll keep y'all posted as things develop and to all those that have been involved in my life I appreciate each and every one of you!!!!
