John's Story

Life After graduating from Ballou, I went to Howard University, where I was also an ROTC student. I graduated from Howard and was commissioned as a military officer at the same time. I got an educational delay from the military and went to the University of Maryland for graduate school. I left Maryland and left the region to begin my career as a military officer. I went to Somalia, Texas, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, and a few other places. I decided to get out at the end of my obligation (being shot at in Somalia helped me make that decsion ;-). e University of Pittsburgh and finished my doctorate. I moved back to the DC area in 2000 and bought a house in Hillcrest. I work in academia now. I also started a small research company called the Evaluation Project. I'm giving a lot of thought to working solely in the company. She was at Ballou when we were juniors. She didn't stay very long, but I thought she was hella sexy. I still daydream about her every blue moon.
