JACK's Story
Life
When not at work I am usually on the tennis courts. Played social tennis with Dick & Jackie (Schroeder) Cardone way back when. Have enjoyed my 3 kids on the sports fields. All 3 kids have made all state in tennis while in HS. My youngest is at Syracuse (Jr). My oldest son coaches at MKA and my daughter is raising a family. We all live in Verona.
College
2 years at St Michael's College and then transferred back home to Seton Hall University. Majored in accounting and became a practicing CPA. A great experience in Santa Fe New Mexico at St Mike's and I will never forget it even though homesickness brought me back...Expand for more

Workplace
Started my career in public accounting in 1968 by joining Touche Ross. Except for the break for the National Guard, I worked for Touche through 1977, went to a small local accounting firm in Summit for 3 years and then started my own practice on Jan 1, 1980 in South Orange where I still practice. I am a sole practitioner, no partners, no staff, and not even a secretary.
Military
I beat the draft by joining the National Guard, went to Fort Knox Ky for 6 months and one weekend per month for the next 5 or so years at the West Orange National Guard Armory. 2 weeks each summer spent up at Camp Drum NY.
