John's Story
Life
Since High School I have done several things to find my place in life. I started out by Enlisting in the Navy as a Hospitalman (Medic).I then moved on to work with the Tukwila Fire Dept Fire Explorers which is a great program to help kids fulfill there dream of being a Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic. At that time I was also going to Renton Technical College. I was taking the 911 Dispatcher course. After completing the course I got hired at King Count Fire District#25 as a Firefighter/First Responder. I worked for them for 5 years. I had to leave the Fire Service because I devloped Epilepsy, so I had to move onto something else. I went back to Renton Technical College again and enrolled in the Auotmotive Technology course which is a rough 2 year program. met with Kevin Daly who wanted to build a Chevron Lube Express in the Renton Highlands Now Jiffy Lube. I worked for Kevin for 2 years. I then move on to work for the Museum of Flight where I worked for 5 years in the Security Dept as a Medic. I was also a First Aid Instructor with the American Red Cross. I got laid off at the Museum of Flight in 2002 due to the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks. So I then Decided to go to Renton Technical College again and try the Healthcare Programs. I Graduated out of the Medical Assistant Program and now presently working for U S HealthWorks in Tukwila. I am a Medical Assistant/Radiology Technician/Nursing Assistant with U S HealthWorks and my Specality is Occupational Medicine/Urgent Care. Now as of 2009 I work for Valley Medical Center in Manila, Philippines with my Wife Marilou. We will still Visit the U.S. every once in a while.
